Publisher's Description

Part 2 of a Brand-new 5-part Serial Novel!

Zulu races around the world fighting for answers—and their lives!  The remnant of the first all-female Special Forces team, Zulu, will do whatever it takes to determine what really happened that night five years ago—when a trap entangled the team in the deaths of twenty-two innocent people in Misrata, Libya. With Lieutenant Colonel Trace Weston and Boone Ramage leading the way, Annie Palermo, Téya Reiker, and Nuala King are training harder and stronger, digging deeper for clues, and tracking down leads in the U.S. and Europe to clear their names.  Former Navy SEAL Sam Caliguari refuses to believe Annie left of her own free will, not after what they shared. But his determination and efforts to find her have put Zulu at greater risk of being discovered—and eliminated—before they can find the truth.  Francesca Solomon is determined to bring down Trace Weston, whom she believes is responsible for the tragedy in Misrata, for ruining her father’s career, and for tarnishing her family’s good name. When a source gives her pivotal information, Francesca leaps at the chance to make Trace answer for his crimes. Just when things start to turn for Zulu, a member of the team is targeted by one of the world’s deadliest assassins. Then another vanishes. Zulu wants the truth, but they didn’t know it might cost every one of their lives.

Editorial Reviews

I had to wait two weeks for this book. I saw a email telling me I could get it and I put the book down I was reading and started this one, I know it is going to end in cliffhangers but I was surprised again. I was not ready to put the story down for another week.

This installment of Operation Zulu has the Zulu team traveling to Paris and to Greece following leads that will hopefully bring them closer to whoever is hunting them. In the course of their search another foe is unleashed, an assassin has marked Teya as his kill. While the Zulu team is hunting for their would-be killers Sam is still hunting for Ashland/Annie and seems to want to stop at nothing to find her. Not a good thing for the team trying to maintain their anonymity.

Once again the action had me on the edge of my seat anxiously biting my nails! I like the fact that the girls are kick-butt characters but yet not machines. They are trained in combat, but yet are still able to feel compassion for those around them. It is a little hard for me to read when one of the girls gets the stuffings knocked out of her, but I have a feeling she'll be getting her revenge soon. Francesca Solomon is kind of ticking me off. She reminds me of a terrier with her jaws clamped around a bone and refuses to let go! She's going to be trouble I think.

I really enjoyed part two of Team Zulu, though it is a little slower than the first one, in my opinion. It is kind of like the middle of a book - youre halfway through and it slows just a smidge, as the author works to begin bringing everything together for the final chapters. It didnt hold my attention quite as tightly as the previous one, but that actually wasnt a bad thing. It didnt have me on the edge of my seat constantly, since there was a bit more dialogue, investigating, and planning in this part. That is in fact one of the things I particularly enjoyed about it - it allowed me to get to know the characters better, instead of being swept up in the action all of the time.

Ronie once again does an excellent job with the details, descriptions, and making me feel as though Im there with them. Im spending a lot of my time between episodes trying to guess what will happen next, which isnt working at all! Just when I think I have a handle on whats happening, she either takes it the complete opposite of what I excepted, or throws something else into the mix! Ronie is definitely keeping readers on their toes with this serial novel!

I liked the team getting to travel some in this one - gets the ladies out of the bunker and we finally get to see them in action, though things do go wrong right and left, it seems. One of them even becomes the target of a notorious assassin (not a spoiler, unless you didnt read the description then, sorry). We also get to know Trace a bit better, which was cool. Up til now hes kind of been an ambiguous character. Giving us just a glimpse then leaving the rest to our imagination. That still happens here, but a few more of the blanks are filled in, which was nice.

The biggest reason this one is only getting 4 stars? Im getting kind of annoyed with Sam. I want him to be in it more, or to have made more headway, or to have found Annie, or something. Hes basically just ramming his head into a brick wall, which makes sense, I get it. Its just starting to get a little old for me. Im hoping he shows up a bit more in the next one.

I received a free download of this book from the publisher for my honest review, which I have given. I was not required to write a positive review and have not been compensated for it in any way. All opinions expressed are my own.

Im trying to think of any positive adjectives that I havent already used to describe this series. Truly, the writing is unparalleled. With precision skill, Kendig has drawn me into the lives of Team Zulu. Im a huge dialogue fan and this is some of the most impressive I have read. Her attention to detail is obvious but not overly done. I find myself not skipping a single word because I might miss something important, its that precise. There are some shocking situations that the team is involved in, and yet they are written with so much realism, I have no trouble believing that these events could actually happen. These women are facing formidable opponents and doing some serious butt-kicking. I felt like I was watching Jennifer Garner in Alias! Out of Nowhere ends on another cliffhanger and I am eagerly anticipating the next installment.

I was provided a copy from the publisher for review purposes. I am under no obligation to write a positive review, just my honest opinion of the book. No compensation has been received.

The deeper they dig the more trouble they find themselves in. Trying to follow leads they only end up with someone else out to kill them. Each well-developed character has their own struggles and issues they are fighting while trying to find answers. Teya crossed someone more powerful than she can handle, Sam dug a little too deep, Frankie got her hand smacked in a big way, Annie is dealing with the past, we discover something about Nuala that wasnt there before, Boone and Trace are up to their eyeballs in trouble just trying to keep Zulu alive! They get to spread their wings a little more in this episode and thus encounter the extra danger.

Each episode rocks the boat a little more and throws the characters into beautifully written, engaging chaos. As usual it is on-the-edge-of-your-seat action packed suspense that you cannot put down.

Highly recommend starting from the first episode and read them all!!

Operation Zulu Redemption: Out Of Nowhere By: Ronie Kendig

The thrill ride continues! Part 2 has more twists and turns than a roller coaster. It hits highs in action and drama and then dips down into personalities and character clashes. The danger is closer, very real and threatening their lives and their sanity.

Team leader, LTC Trace Weston decides to go on the hunt and try to find those responsible before another Zulu team member can be hurt or killed. Though the team is glad to be out of the bunker they are creating even more danger by being seen. One is in the way of an accomplished assassin and become his target. He taunts her and plays with her mind, letting her know that it could happen at any moment and she has no way to stop him. Or does she?

Ronie Kendig is an accomplished author with skills that keep us, fans, on our toes. The heart pounding, hold your breath action often has us believing in the story, feeling that the characters are real and praying for their safety and a resolution to the threat. Keep them coming Ms. Kendig! We crave more.
