Product Information
Related ProductsPublisher's DescriptionRenowned biblical scholar Kenneth Bailey presents this exciting Christmas drama that pastors, Christian educators, and lay volunteers in local congregations can perform. The high-quality script is informed by his expertise as a New Testament scholar and with the experience of living in the Middle East. The drama is enhanced by six original musical pieces by professional musicians Lois Hopkins and David Bailey. The product package includes thirteen scripts (one for each part) with program notes, a short essay that provides the exegetical background for the drama, printed music for one hymn and five folk songs, and an audio CD. Author Bio Kenneth E. Bailey spent forty years (1955-1995) living and teaching in seminaries and institutes in Egypt, Lebanon, Jerusalem, and Cyprus. For twenty of those years, he was Professor of New Testament and Head of the Biblical Division at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut, where he also founded and directed the Institute for Middle Eastern New Testament Studies. In addition to more than fifty articles in English and in Arabic, his writings include The Cross and the Prodiga, Poet and Peasant, and Finding the Lost: Cultural Keys to Luke 15.
