A wonderful book - beautifully and poetically written. It reached me at a time I needed and was a tremendous encouragement to me during a valley in my life. It's amazing how thankfulness can change your heart and your mind.
This woman knows how to touch hearts. Her open heart and honesty grabbed me from the first page. She is chronicling hard lessons she has learned and in doing so she gently teaches those lessons. This book is deep and probing, sometimes shocking, shunning false piety, questioning yet trusting, real to the core. It elicited more emotion in me than any book ever. Her lessons of grace - learning to be thankful at all times - have made a permanent mark on this forgetful soul. Her style of writing is very poetic which at times I found to be an annoyance (another emotion...), and a hindrance to comprehension. That said, I am keeping this book to re-read. It's a classic.
I found it to be a lovely read. I loved the poetic feel as our author led us and showed us how to be grateful for so many every day things that we so easily overlook. God is truly in the little things of life as well as the big if we just let only Him lead us.
