Rebeccas hard work at Sparrow Hill starts to draw national attention in England, as well as earn Quentins personal admiration. But, how can the daughter of a servant ever expect to develop a romantic attachment with the son of a Duke? Suddenly, however, Rebecca discovers a surprising link between Quentins long dead ancestors and unraveling events of the current day. These revelations have potential for both danger to the familys reputation and opportunities for revealing new aspects of the familys history.
The novels overall storyline is interesting but a bit confusing in the beginning due to the ancestor flashbacks. The American relatives of Quentin add a new aspect to the plot. The character development of Rebecca is well done, although she speaks more like an American than someone of British descent. Quentin also has limited British turns of phrases, which is odd for an English aristocrat. Langs description of the landscape and house are well done. On Sparrows Hill is a great book to get lost in for people who like a modern setting yet an old world flavor of baronial estates and bygone elegance. -- Khrista Beckmann, Christian Book Previews.com
MiskaWitt, ILAge: 25-34Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Good read.January 4, 2012MiskaWitt, ILAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5It helps if you read the first book in the series before this one, but it's not necessary. It's a nice book. Not too fluffy, not too deep or intense either. Relaxing, and a fairly typical Christian romance.

DianeAge: 18-245 Stars Out Of 5November 21, 2011DianeAge: 18-24Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book was really good! I liked how it presented two stories, one contemporary and the other historical, and that together, they made sense and completed one another.
The fragile X is very well presented in the story without overwhelming the reader with too many details and too much science. This book can definitely be enjoyed by readers of every background and of all ages.
I also liked the good values that the characters in both stories portrayed.
Overall, "On Sparrow Hill" is a very enjoyable book! I recommend it!
