La Cuaresma es un momento especial para dejarnos guiar por el Espíritu hacia un re-encuentro con Jesucristo. Es una oportunidad para renovar nuestra amistad con El y caminar fielmente a su lado, día a día, hacia la Pascua. Este camino nuevo ocurre cuando abrimos la mente, el corazón y los sentidos a Jesús que nos ve y abraza. Pues, con su vida, muerte y resurrección, Jesús nos revela nuestra belleza y dignidad original, renovada por su amor incondicional hacia nosotros.

Lent is a special time to be guided by the Spirit into a re-encounter with Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity to renew our friendship with Him and walking faithfully at his side, day after day, to Easter. This new way is when we open the mind, heart and senses to Jesus who sees us and hugs. Well, his life, death and resurrection, Jesus reveals to us our original beauty and dignity, renowned for its unconditional love for us.

Alejandro Aguilera-Titus is associate director of the Secretariat for Hispanic Affairs of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. He is a board member of the National Catholic Network for Hispanic Youth and Young Adult Ministry and the National Association of Catechists Working With Hispanics.
