MatthewConnecticutAge: 45-54Gender: Male4 Stars Out Of 5Good text block, good quality paper.May 28, 2015MatthewConnecticutAge: 45-54Gender: MaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I got a discounted copy of this softcover from the slightly imperfect bin. What I like about it is that the text block is almost a match for the leather covered reader I already own. No change in type size, pages look the same, just a small drop in paper quality from the leather edition. Picked up the softcover to read with study group, so that I could leave the leather bound edition at home. The curved spine of the leather bound feels better in the hand, making it a better choice if the NRSV is your primary reader. This softcover has more of a chiseled edge feel to the spine.

I can mark in it, which I would never do in any other Bible. Thus I now have notes right where I need them. So glad I got it.
Cassie Hale5 Stars Out Of 5September 23, 2006Cassie HaleAlthough the cover was different, the one I received is the newest edition. My only qualm was that the writing on the spine was a sort of double vision effect. I think it was most likely an error that occured during printing. Now, for the reasons I gave it a five:The font is perfect for my eyes--nice and crisp. There is no commentary. I wanted this translation w/out a liberal commentary. The apocrypha is divided into 4 parts. There is a concordance and maps. The cover is plain and has nothing trendy and distracting. It simply says "Holy Bible" in gold stamping. I'm very pleased with this Bible!
