Laurie Rohrwasser4 Stars Out Of 5September 11, 2010Laurie RohrwasserWe have used this "style" Bible for years now in our Confimation Program (9th & 10th grade). We began with the NIV and 4 years ago changed to the NRSV. This year we are moving our program to 7th and 8th grade-- this is still a Bible for them. This Bible is very user friendly, it has so much to offer that aids in understanding and discussion. We have a few adults that have made this Bible their "go to Bible" for study. My only complaint is that it is hard cover. Over the years I've found our Youth prefer a softcover with a cover that is non-descript, yet appealing. This would be a 5 star rating if it were soft cover.
Rev. Kathy Rahorst4 Stars Out Of 5November 18, 2009Rev. Kathy RahorstThe Bible content is FANTASTIC for youth. I was disappointed by the picture on the cover. It is city specific. I would suggest a simple cover would appeal to a larger audience and might have been more attractive.
Joanna Caldwell3 Stars Out Of 5August 22, 2007Joanna CaldwellThis Bible was a gift Bible that our church presented to our 6th grade dyslexic daughter. She was excited about it but upon opening it and seeing the size of the print, her face fell. I know that kids are supposed to have great vision, but not all do and those with reading difficulties and tracking problems would benefit from having a larger print version available to them. I don't think one exists because I haven't been able to find a study Bible aimed at youth in the commentary and helps provided. For everyone else, this is a wonderful Bible and our Middle School Sunday school class uses it with the kids every week and they are consequently learning how to study the Bible.
