Trying to find a good quality NRSV Bible that is not Anglicized and is without the Apocrypha is almost impossible. Every search kept coming back to this Bible as just about the only option so I purchased it. Based on the cost, I found this Bible to be an overall above average quality Bible that exceeded my expectations based on some of the less than positive reviews I read about it. Is this a high end two hundred dollar Bible? NO, but it is without doubt well worth its cost in my opinion. This Bible is a nice medium size that can be used at home or taken on the road with ease. The binding is tight and sturdy, the print is easy to read and the cover is thicker and of better quality than expected based on some of the negative reviews. I am very happy with this Bible and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality NRSV Bible that is not Anglicized and is without the Apocrypha.

Poor quality text block. Letters have that shimmery quality almost like inkjet printing on superfast. Leather cover is pretty dubious quality, almost like its been sliced thin and ironed. Much better than a paperback but not a high quality bible. Price seemed good but not left feeling like it was great value.

Lightweight and easily holdable in one hand, I find this bible ideal for reading in bed. The paper and the typeset are nice. I have come across a few sentences where the lettering gets a little scrunched like it went through the press quickly, but it is still clearly legible. Coming off reading from a larger reference bible, my first impression was that the leading (line spacing) is a little tight and the typeface a little small, but I quickly got use to it. I would recommend this edition to anyone who wants to read without distracting reference notes, particularly for the NRSV translation where there are fewer choices.

My old Bible from 1963 is in rough shape so I invested in this and it is beautiful in every way. A wonderful, quality Bible that will see a lot of use. Thanks.
