Lynette Eason in her new book, Nowhere To Turn Book Two in her Hidden Identity series published by Revell takes us into the life of Danielle Harding.

From the Back Cover: She thought her days of hiding were over . . . but the danger has just begun

The day Danielle Harding takes her eleven-year-old son and flees from her abusive husband is the same day Kurt Harding dies. A relieved Dani believes she and her son are finally safebut in reality, things are just heating up. When Kurt was alive, he took something important from a mysterious individualwho wants the item back and believes Dani now has it. As she and her son run for their lives, they have nowhere to turn, until she hires Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge and goes into hiding. Unfortunately, she wont be able to hide for long . . .

From the first breathless scene, this tension-laced story will hold you in its iron grip as bestselling author Lynette Eason propels you along in a race to discover the truth.

What happens when the actions of others that you are unaware of refer back to you? Well most times it is innocent enough and nothing happens. Sometimes, though, whatever the other party did is dangerous and that action can get you killed. This is what happens to Danielle. She has no idea of what her husband did however the bad guy doesnt know that, thinks she has it and will kill to get it back. Nowhere To Turn is a thriller, no doubt about it. Danielles life is in great danger practically from page one and the danger grows with the body count. Just when you think you might know where the story is heading Ms. Eason tosses in another turn which you take at high-speed on two wheels. Ms. Eason makes her characters so real and you root for them to complete their mission and you root for their romance to blossom. Ms. Eason knows how to tell a story that keeps you flipping the pages and guessing as to who the bad guys really are. This is a wild ride read and I recommend it highly.

    My Take

I have been wanting to read a book by Lynette Eason for a long time, so when I had the opportinuty to review one for Revell Reads i grabbed it. This book is ok, its the second in the Hidden Idenity series but that didnt make it confusing. It grabbed my attention from the first page and held it most of the way through the book, but towards the end I started thinking if they actually put more effort into the investigation side of things they might have saved theirselves some trouble, but then again I guess they were hired to protect not to investigate. So its not on my favorites list but it was a good book anyway. I look forward to reading more of Lynette Easons work in the future!

Nowhere To Turn is a story will keep you guessing, just when you think you have it all figured out another twist comes along.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat and I finished the book in pretty short order. I had a lazy weekend and Nowhere To Turn was the perfect place to turn to for an exciting and thrilling read. Even the cover is delightfully mysterious and does its job well by enticing the reader to open the pages.

Lynette Eason not only knows her craft well, but she is also a master at her genre. I love suspense/mystery, it really is my favorite genre, and over the years I've read some great suspense books and some that were not so great. Lynette Eason was easily one of the best authors I have read, and if Nowhere To Turn is true example of her work than I can be assured that her other books will definitely be good.

The only bad, or rather sad, thing is that I have to wait a WHOLE YEAR to read book 3! I guess I will just have to console myself and read some of Lynette Eason's other books in the meantime.

Don't miss Nowhere To Turn, book 2 in Lynette Eason's exciting Hidden Identity series!

The opening scenes of this book were so intense that I think I held my breath through chapter four. Danielle Harding is an abused wife. She longs to flee from her husband, but he has threatened to kill their son if she tries again. Just when all hope of ever leading a normal life is lost she gets news that her husband has died. Finally, the ability to live life without the threat of violence. But just when she thought it was safe she begins to feel threatened by her brother-in-law Stuart. He is determined to make her his.

Danielle's husband Kurt and his brother Stuart are both FBI agents so turning to law enforcement for help isn't an option. She knows from experience that you never fully know who you can trust. What she does know is that if she doesn't find help fast she and her son are in big trouble.

In a desperate attempt to free herself and her son she contacts Operation Refuge. Adam Buchanan and his group seems to be her only chance at a normal life. They help her and Simon with new looks and identities and will effectively make them disappear so they can start a new life. She feels safe and protected in their presence until their security measures are mysteriously breached. The lengths they go to to keep Danielle and her son Simon safe are part of what makes this story so fast-paced. The plot twists and underlying currents are sure to keep you reading as fast as you can. Once again you will be left wondering what else could possibly happen up until the very end.

This second book in the Hidden Identity series is every bit as adrenaline pumping suspense as No One To Trust. The series has connecting characters from the first book, but the storyline of this book is completely separate from the first. If you do plan on reading the whole series I would suggest you read it in order so little details don't giveaway the overall plot. But if you want to just jump in and read this second book without the first you will be completely fine in doing so.

I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

This is the second book I have read by Lynette and I have to say I love her writing. From the beginning of this book I was on the edge of my seat. I was reading at night and had to stop myself because I needed to get sleep.

This book has so many layers it was hard to know who was really after Dani. It seemed there could have been any number of people who would want to hurt her. I had no clue.

Lynette does a great job of playing on the mother in us all with Danis son Simon. You knew she had to do whatever it took to keep him safe, just as we all would do for our children.

The romance portion of the book was just okay for me, but honestly it didnt have to be great because the rest of the story was so good.

This is the second book in the Hidden Identity series but you dont have to read the first one to know what is going on in this one. There are repeat characters but the main characters where either secondary in the first book or not in it at all. So have no worries if this is the first book you pick up. And trust me, if you like suspense you will want to pick this up.

A copy of this book was given to me by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
