Renowned artist Reece Thorpe wants nothing to do with Maggienot after what she did to him in high schoolbut he might also be Devyns father. Fed by her own pride and fear for her daughters happiness, Maggie finds herself on a slippery slope of white lies as she attempts to convince Reece that shes changed. But the truth has a way of making itself known, and now Maggies past and present mistakes could ruin her chance at love.
Tamara Leigh draws you in with a tale of small-town charm, the pursuit of love, and the life-changing power of letting go. The heart-gripping themes and delightful characters of Nowhere, Carolina will have you turning the pages. Jenny B. Jones, award-winning author of Just Between You and Me and So Not Happening
Tamara Leighs Nowhere, Carolina is just plain fun, Southern style. The characters are quirky and unusual without going overboard, and topping it all off is a sweet, genuine romance. I'm looking forward to reading more. - DeAnna Julie Dodson, author of In Honor Bound, By Love Redeemed, and To Grace Surrendered

"Nowhere, Carolina is a delightful tale that explores the beauty of truth and the freedom found in Gods plans for all of us. I always enjoy Tamara Leighs plucky and down-to-earth heroines, and Maggie Pickwick is no exception. This book was a pleasure to read, and I enjoyed it from beginning to end!"

Kay4 Stars Out Of 5Worth the ReadOctober 6, 2012KayQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4I must admit that this book by Ms. Leigh was a bit slower for me than her previous books. As been said, Maggie's story offered a more sobering view from previous books. You will laugh, but you will also shed a few tears - not a bad combination, admittedly, but not what you expect to do when you've subconsciously set yourself up to laugh 'til the cows come home so to speak. The topics the book dealt with were very serious ones, however, which may have lent to the more serious tone of the book. Maggie's character, through her past recriminations, demonstrates that grace isn't cheap, nor is the road to forgiveness an easy one. Reece, though shadowed by his own past, isn't hindered by his past as much as Maggie is by hers, and he reminded me somewhat of the prodigal son's brother. The end was indeed a tear jerker, and though it took me much longer to complete this book, I found that the book was well worth the read. Thanks again, Ms. Leigh :-)

Her books are always FUN!! Nowhere, Carolina took a bit more of a serious turn, but it's underlaid with humor. And heart.
Maggie Pickwick and Reece Thorpe share a less-than-perfect past, but I couldn't stop turning the pages, hoping for the perfect ending. What I got was a great read... in fact, this could be my favorite Tamara Leigh book yet.

But, and this is a huge but, Tamara wove an authentic story of a woman HONESTLY dealing with her past, forgiveness, genuine faith in Christ, repentance, and consequences - something SO overlooked by many writers. The twists and turns were impressive and unexpected. I enjoyed the first book in the series and found this one even better. This is a keeper and the third book will be on my list.
Rel Mollet5 Stars Out Of 5May 17, 2010Rel MolletNothing brings me more delight than to pick up a brand new Tamara Leigh novel because I know that in the pages I will find enchanting characters, a meaningful story with an uplifting message and Tamara's distinctive and intelligent humour. Nowhere, Carolina steps it up a notch with Maggie struggling to make amends for her wild and defiant youth, determined to prove she is now a responsible mother and member of the Pickwick community. The return of her high school sweetheart, Reece Thorpe brings Maggie's past mistakes into dramatic focus leaving her dissembling in a misguided effort to protect her daughter, Devyn. Honest, witty and captivating, Tamara's first person voice is unparalleled in Christian publishing and I can't wait to read more of her stories.
