Jon R. Harris5 Stars Out Of 5January 15, 2010Jon R. HarrisRuth Bell Graham the younger has written a book worthy of her mother and namesake, Ruth Bell Graham the elder. Ruth the younger, founder of Ruth Graham and Friends Ministry, neither writes nor speaks from an ivory tower of her being the daughter of the Rev. Billy Graham. Instead, in the footsteps of In Every Pew Sits a Broken Heart, she again writes from a foundation of Been There; Done That about the pain, conflict, and confusion of the many struggles of life, including self-willed living, bad decisions, heartache, and divorce. But centering about the time of her life in which Gods grace was demonstrated in living color through her fathers love and forgiving comfort, followed by her incorporating that grace into her life through a time of yielding her will and future to God, she realizes and returns constantly to Gods promise in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. After reading Chapter 3, Experience His Presence, I felt I could put the book away and know that I had already received more than the cost of the book. I really felt that I was experiencing His presence as I read. But, Im glad I kept reading. Although Im aware that many, if not most, who are reading the book will find the chapters on His Comfort, His Help, and His Peace most beneficial, my pulse began to race as I delved into the chapters on His Forgiveness, His Restoration, His Affirmation, and His Hope. It appeared to this reader that the authors pulse was racing right along with mine through these chapters. From wherever the hurting, the confused, the frightened, or the depressed may be coming, Fear Not Tomorrow, God Is Already There will meet them at their most vulnerable and encourage them and challenge them to accept Gods healing grace and His hope for their future.
