Pastor Kyle Idleman doesnt just want to be a fan of Jesus, he wants to full heartedly commit to him and be a follower of Jesus. But how can you make the leap from fan to follower? In Not a Fan Idleman uses biblical examples to show how the people who met Jesus also had to decide if they were fans or followers, and what it meant for them to then become followers. Being a follower doesnt mean that you go to church every week, that you slap a Jesus fish on the back of your car, and that you give to charity. Thats what a fan does. What a follower of Jesus does, Idleman observes, is die to themselves each and every moment of the day because you cant say yes to following Jesus unless you say no to living for yourself. In this three part book Idleman helps you to discover whether you are a fan or a follower, how to recognize the invitation Jesus has given, and what following Jesus looks like in your daily life. With humor and real life examples to draw you closer to Jesus, Kyle Idleman compels each and every one of us to Not Be A Fan
Kyle Idleman is the Teaching Pastor at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, the fourth largest church in America. He is the author of the award-winning and best-selling book not a fan. He is also the presenter of several video curricula, including not a fan, H2O, and the newly released study gods at war.

Favored215 Stars Out Of 5ExcellentMay 25, 2015Favored21Quality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0This is the best book I have ever read regarding following Christ!! I do not like to do a lot of reading. I like to get to the point and move on and books don't usually hold my attention. Well, not so with this one. It has made me look at my commitment and make changes to be more of a follower. I use this book as devotion in the morning and at night! I have truly enjoyed reading it and I'm purchasing more to send to my friends. This book fit right in with my 1st of the year commitment...more of Christ and less of me. Our Pastor recommended it for reading and most of the congregation purchased it. Most of us have adopted the phrase DTR.....!! I had many "ouch" moments.
