Nooma is a revolutionary product that is changing the way people experience spirituality a series of short films on DVD with a 32 page discussion guide. It's not a book or a cassette tape. And it's not a CD or a two-hour movie. It's a new format called NOOMA® short films, between 10 and 14 minutes long, about God and our lives. Since its limited online release in November 2002, NOOMA has impacted millions of people. Because of this initial success and great potential, Zondervan has partnered with NOOMA to bring these films to the world. NOOMAs are appropriate for personal and small group settings, congregational meetings, and much more. Like parables, they use the experiences of our lives to teach about the fullness of life through Jesus, tackling issues like forgiveness, discipleship, and unconditional love. The study materials accompanying each NOOMA encourage meaningful discussion with relevant questions and biblical references. Rob Bell, a leading pastor and breakthrough communicator in the Christian community, is featured in the first series of NOOMAs.
Clayton5 Stars Out Of 5May 2, 2009ClaytonThis is a great video to show at Easter time. We watched this in Sunday School and I noticed that it was talking to me as much if not more than to everyone else. I find myself thinking about myself more than others and need to remember that Christ died so that I can live, just like the tomato dies so we can have salsa.
Judy G. Kimmell5 Stars Out Of 5February 4, 2009Judy G. KimmellI have a small group that meets every other Sunday at my house. We showed this one and I typed out all the question for everyone. It was very challenging for some of us who need to get honest with the lord. Everyone liked it and the format was great. We have all of Rob Bell's teaching. He is right to the point and doesn't beat around the bush. Great Stuff
Stephen Nelson5 Stars Out Of 5January 2, 2009Stephen NelsonThe guy in the red shoes aside, this is still a great lesson, mainly because I... Love... Salsa!
Tom Guy1 Stars Out Of 5January 2, 2009Tom GuyBell's previous videos were very thought-provoking. After watching this I was just confused. Who is the guy with the umbrella? Satan? Temptation?
Dean Jackson2 Stars Out Of 5December 29, 2008Dean JacksonThis DVD had very little substance. I was disappointed in the debt of the subject matter compared to Bells' earlier works. Normally you walk away from his presentations with an understanding of what the writer of that particular book of the Bible was trying to convey to the reader, but this time it was more warm and fuzzy with a make you feel good approach.
