NOOMA is a new format for spiritual direction. It's short films touching on issues that we care about, that we want to talk about, and it comes in a way that fits our world. It's a format that's there for us when we need it, as we need it, how we need it. Audio: English. Subtitles: English, French, German, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish.

This latest film, labeled No. 18 "Name," draws its lesson from the ancient biblical story of Jacob wrestling with a heavenly being.
Followers of the Nooma series will find that No. 18 is another of the visually daring Nooma films. The special effects were simple to produce here -- but the impact is striking. (And, I won't spoil the film by explaining any more about the visual imagery.)
As usual, Rob Bell takes the ancient story and quickly connects the lessons with issues we confront every day.
Lori5 Stars Out Of 5August 28, 2009LoriMy son struggles so much with loving and being himself. After watching this, I asked him to watch it. It was short and very easy for him to watch. It held his attention. And he commented that it was just what he needed!
Carol WalkerPalm Coast, FLAge: 45-54Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5July 2, 2008Carol WalkerPalm Coast, FLAge: 45-54Gender: femaleThis was not one of Rob Bell's better DVD's though the message was good. I wanted to use it with teenagers and I think it was targeted more for adults. But all of his stuff is good. I was just hoping for a little more "oomph" that would appeal to the teenagers.
