This is a very basic reading book--no frills. It gets the job done but would be difficult to hold the attention of a wiggly child. However, if you are a creative teacher, you could use it only as a guide and create your own songs, games, etc. around it.
My daughter will sit fairly easily and was reading words within the first week. However, at times she does resist doing it probably because it can be a bit boring.

Excellent book that could be used as a starter reading curriculum. I have found it helpful and refer to it often. We use it for spelling lists too. Uncluttered, without loads of pictures to distract. Could be used with any phonics based workbook.

Everything you need to teach your child to read. It is bare bones basic but it gets the job done. Coordinates perfectly with CLP's Adventures in Phonics A worktext. I also reccomend getting the CLP Phonics Readers. It's all available right here at CBD.
