This bible for children is an excellent source of scriptural information. I refer to it at times because I love the illustrations and it is interesting the way the biblical ideas are presented to children. They make it fun to read the bible. My son likes to do bible lessons using his bible because he can use the highlighted passages for his lesson. He loved his soft cover bible like this but I decided to but this one for Christmas because his soft cover was tearing up. I love the fact that I am having to replace a bible due to the fact that he uses it so much!

This Bible is perfect if you are in the children's ministry. It helps you explain the Bible on their level. It is a great gift for a kid or great for anyone trying to teach kids.

The Hands-On Bible for Kids is probably the best choice among the jungle of selections. The title is appropriate, for this edition gives the child much, much more than an easy-to-read version. The editorial team came up with dozens—no hundreds—of pertinent activities that will fascinate kids and draw them in to what the text is saying. Truly excellent!

To the previous reviewer (Gina from Vista, CA) That’s exactly what a Bible does to parents like us! Gets us to talk about "Big" issues before we're ready! That's why we have a "Big" God, he's in control. We as parents are just very responsible for our kids; He is the one that finishes the job! (Hebrews 12:10) This Bible is great. Now the tough part, using it!

The set up of this bible is great. It has good little experiments for your child to do in order to understand certain principles. I guess my real problem with this bible is the translation. Unfortunately, I assumed that a bible for children would be safe for my child to read. I consequently found myself trying to blow off my 7 year-old's questions as she sounded out the words "sexual relations." What happened to the elusive words "lay with?" Now I have a huge issue to deal with that I shouldn't have had to deal with yet.
