I have used an NLT One-Year Bible before, but it was a paperback and had no margins at all to write notes in. I was looking for something more durable than a paperback Bible. I am very pleased with this version. The margins are not large, but large enough to write short notes. And every day it has a short devotional on both the Old and New Testament passages, which are usually quite good. So every day it directs my thought to a main point from the passages, whether I'm reading Leviticus or Matthew. It also suggests that you pray the Psalms, and gives a thought to focus on as you do each day. I started reading Jan. 1st. It is Feb. 26th today, and I'm not having any trouble keeping up because I look forward to reading it each day. The format is just so easy, and I always come away with a biblical truth to ponder and apply.
