I was given my first recovery bible to me by my cousin . I have depended on it for 5 yrs. My son had a heart attack 5 months ago and then had to have his leg amputated. I gave him my bible when he was in the hospital. He loves it too. So I bought this one for me. And I feel complete now. And content that my son is still with us. Because the Lord saved him for me. And the bible means more to me than ever.
I bought this for an unsaved friend who is in AA. She has no Bible knowledge whatsoever, and is somewhat skeptical, so what a great "ice-breaker" when you open this Bible and there's the familiarity of the Serenity Prayer and the 12-steps (and 8-steps) of recovery printed right inside with Biblical references to reinforce each step. The cover is really nice; it could pass for real leather and I liked that the title of the bible is printed discreetly on the side rather than splashed across the cover (like the hardcover and paperback versions). I had it imprinted with her name and that was very well-done as well. I highly recommend this Bible for anyone in recovery.
