NLT Pitt Minion Reference Bible, Goatskin leather, brown
Very High Quality Bible
The NLT Pitt Minion bible with goat skin cover is well made and looks great. This is a very small print bible so if you are looking for something for study this is probably not that one for you. The goatskin is not as smooth as I expected but you can tell it will hold up well. I like the 2 ribbon markers and the red letter edition is nice too. This bible is extremely compact and portable. It works great for when you are on the go.

Best Compact NLT... PERIOD!
Cambridge has done it again, and this time with the New Living Translation.
Anyone over 21 who uses the NLT knows how hard it is to find a quality edition of this translation. Heck, it is hard to find a version that doesn't have graphics all over the cover.
This edition is the anwser to the search. It has a wonderful goatskin cover that is flexable. That combined with the sewn binding allows is to open flat right out of the box.
The paper is white and bright which helps to make the small font size readible. The paper is also thin but opaque, which means that that there is very little bleedthrough while keeping the edition thin.
The overall look of this Bible is what I call classy. The grainy goatskin, great paper, art-gilt page edges and two ribbon markers make this edition look "old world". To be honest, when you use the edition you sometimes forget that you are holding a NLT Bible. It looks that cood and that classic.
The only drawback is that for some people the font maybe small; however, this edition does not claim to be a large print. It does the things well it is supposed to do.
If you are loking for a high quality go-anywere Bible, the Cambridge NLT is the way to go.

another perfect take-anywhere bible
I now own THREE of these pocket-size gems! As I am nearsighted, I don't mind the small print. They are sturdy, yet due to the goatskin binding it falls flat open at all spots. They are small and expensive, but worth every cent! I now have the ESV, the NLT, and the NASB,and as a result I have a choice of Bibles when I travel. All are easily five stars.

A wonderful wee Bible!
Understanding terminology really helps. Reading other reviews for all the various Cambridge Pitt Minion Bibles, the common complaint is that it is too small, the print is tiny, etc...
A minion classification means that it fits in your hand, and has at most a 7-point print.
I was pleased with the extreme quality brown goatskin binding. I was pleased with the long-grain printing of the pages (means it won't buckle or have non-smooth inner page foldings). The art-guilded outer page edges are a knockout for beauty. And the print, as expected - 6.75 point - is exceptionally beautiful and clear, even to my aging eyes. Yes, I use prescription reading glasses, but I use them when reading my large-print Oxford Bibles too!
I recommend this Bible to anyone seeking a superbly constructed, quality, daily-use Bible - and a wonderful modern language translation - that is very accurate!
