My teenager loves it! The first thing he said when he read the bible was "Mom i really like this bible, because I can understand it", I recommend it, it helped my teenager to truly understand the word of God, and he really enjoys it.
I purchased this for my 10 year old daughter. I thought that the life application study Bible would simply expand upon the Scriptures. However, there are many "real life" stories that are sprinkled throughout the pages. Some of them are really good. Others push too far in my opinion - with too much focus on stealing, drinking, drug use, teen pregnancy, abortion, and other issues (which I don't want to type) and too little focus on the way back to Christ from sin. When I showed some of the stories to my husband, he thought it was geared more for the college level. And yes, I knew it was a teen Bible before purchasing, but I thought that it would just encourage my pre-teen to dive deeper into scripture. Some of the prior reviewers recommended it for all ages. Other than some of the "real life" stories, I really like the Bible. It has a cute cover, great translation, and some interesting facts about the scriptures. I may be overprotective but that's my job. I'm the mom, who's accountable to the Lord.
