Spend a dollar more. Get a much, much better Bible

I was trying to buy ww013468, NKJV Personal Size, Giant Print Reference Bible, Hardcover by Thomas Nelson. I received a sale offer for what looked like this Bible on the outside. They called it a Pew Bible, which made sense, but I did not notice the word "Gift" Bible on the picture. When I received these Pew/ Gift Bibles I was very disappointed: cheap, trade paper & small print. It was just a cheap give-away Bible put in a nice hardback cover. For just $1.00 more you can get a lovely large print, on very nice quality paper, with helpful study notes! It is so much a better value! Of course, CBD cheerfully took the others back, so I could reorder the right ones.
the nkjv is a great contemporary translation of the Bible and my parishioners and i use it to help us in our daily studies and in our corporate worship. the presentation of this particular printing is attractive and easy to use.
Several years ago, we bought several NKJV pew Bibles and have been happy with them. We needed some new Bibles for our growing family, and so purchased 6 of these. Unfortunately, we will be returning them.
The font size is incredibly small. According to staff feedback on a customer question, it's only 7 pt font. Regardless, it's noticeably smaller than in the past. I *cannot* read the Bible if it's set on my lap, and it's not even comfortable when it's on the desk in front of me. It is just too small.
The ironic thing is that the new version is not in anyway a smaller book than the old one. There is just more white space, but the words are too small for that to be of much help.
