Wonderful way to study ways of life in Biblical times.

This is a great Bible to help you learn of the hardships that Gods children endured in the early centuries. It is not a Bible you would carry to Church, as it is written in chronological order, and it requires that you look in the index in the back of the book for locations of certain Scripture verses, and chapters. The quality of this Bible is very good. The print is easy on the eyes at 9 point font. The study notes go into great detail of early beliefs, and ways of life. I highly recommend this for your library, especially at the price CBD has on this fine Bible.
May our Wonderful LORD bless you in your study of HIS WORD.
The NKJV Chronological Study Bible is a great deal. I purchased the solid brown imitation leather, which is a beautiful Bible inside and out. Friends and family have been impressed, especially with the printing and the price. I do not understand how this Bible is available at such a high quality and low price. The appearance, the printing, and the contents are well above average.
The study notes throughout the Bible are not lengthy nor complicated. While relatively brief, they give enough information to help the reader understand the historical settings and why each book or passage is placed where it is. The Bible is divided into nine epochs of history, which helps both from a historical perspective and the biblical contexts. Dates and biblical references are at the top of each page.
The study aids in the back of the Bible are some of the best I have ever seen, especially the concordance. Thomas Nelson has done an outstanding work of publication with this edition of Scripture. I am grateful that they published this study Bible in the NKJV, which is my favorite English translation. If you read the NKJV, you should get this edition; if you do not read the NKJV, you should start with the NKJV Chronological Study Bible. I commend Christian Book Distributors for making this publication available at such a great price.
The Bible is well thought, planned, and laid out, as with most Thomas Nelson Bibles. This is my first chronological Bible and is a few down the list before I get deep into study. However just an initial observation indicates quality and substance. My only disappointment had nothing to do with the Bible but with the imprint of my initials. There is already a small globe similar to a watermark on the bottom right hand corner of the cover. I had hope my initials would either be centered under the globe or aligned with the base of it, but what I got was my initials appearing to be haphazardly placed to the left of the globe, neither aligned with the bottom, center, nor even top, just about a quarter of the way up floating on the cover.
Again, i give the BIBLE 5 stars, it is wonderful. Just wish more thought had gone into the personalization. That being said, maybe you can indicate where you would like the placement if you order with your name of initials as well. Hope this review was helpful.
