    American Pats Bible
    January 28, 2015
I was expecting the same Bible as the hardcover. With the arthritis in my hands it would be easier,,however,,this Bible left out a lot of the American facts. I gave the Bible away to a 15 year old friend. His mom passed away and she was my friend. Her son needed something with at least some facts because he's failing in his history subject. He's also have a bit of problem with naming all the President's in their order of office. If you are looking for this Bible try the soft cover which I just bought. Still a bit heavy but it's the same as the hardcover.

I have purchased over 40 of these bibles for our returning military heroes. We welcome them back and

thank them for their service when they come home from deployment. A Patiot's pocket Bible is placed

in a gift bag with other goodies. Just can't think of a better gift then sharing the " Greastest Love Story

    Ever Told" John 3:16...

I have gotten these for some nurses at Kaiser Petaluma, to "reward" them for their help with my visit to my Doctor; after my Doctor (Dr. Kelly Reed) left Kaiser for Private Practice.

I got this one for a really good friend, who is a Christian, but they are still using the King James Version.

This Bible is really easy to understand, and great for those Guys who were in WW II.

They added full-page inserts throughout the entirety of this bible promoting patriotism, nationalistic ideals, and quotes that different presidents of the United States have said. This stuff does not belong in the Holy Bible. If you do real historical research, you will find that almost all of the founding fathers of our nation were Deists and were quite against the Holy Spirit of our God and Savior in Jesus Christ. The US Constitution contains *no* mentioning of God throughout its entirety. The Declaration of Independence does mention the word God once, but the writings therein do not represent the Word of our God at all. The people that signed it did not believe in the God of the bible (YHWH/YHVH), and conceptualized their own idea of God in themselves (like all Deists do). Some of the themes presented by these pages seem great to a mind full of human pride, the worldly man or woman, but are misleading from the way God wants us to be (to be part of a kingdom not of this world, Jesus'...). It would have been better to include these pages separately in an accompanied booklet. When I read the bible, I want to get into the understanding of God, not the understanding of the words of politicians and war-heroes. Furthermore, nothing should be added to the Word of God! This is stressed throughout the entirety of the bible. Sadly, there are many Christians that never read their bible deeply, having put their faith and devotion to God on the back-burner. Thus many will not understand this importance until they really go all-out, on fire for God! The Bible is a book that should contain nothing but the bible. I will have to buy another NKJV bible now, one that is free from distractions that could potentially lead a mind and heart away from God's true Word. Here are some things that the bible says which are relative to this argument:

"You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you." (Deuteronomy 4:2, ESV).

"Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar." (Proverbs 30:5-6, ESV).

"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." (Philippians 3:20, ESV).

"We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one." (1 John 5:19).

I appreciate being born in America and having the freedoms to follow the word of God openly. However, I also had the freedom to live a life of sin openly for a long time before rebirth. In the end, I don't care who is from where or where I am in this world. All that matters is if we realize the truth of where we really came from (our God, YHWH, Elohim of Abraham and Israel...) and that we seek to know Him, to know His true Word, to repent and be reborn in Jesus Christ, and to be part of an eternal kingdom/nation in and of God.
