Bought for my 12 year old daughter. Nice Bible, she loves it. No interpretation in it. Just the Word of God.

This translation is a gender neutral translation of the Bible & therefore takes A TON of liberties from the original Hebrew & Greek! It leaves you without a feel for the time, & it causes confusion! It leaves out words that were in the original, which takes away from the point the passages are trying to get across! For example when the Bible says brotherly love, it completely leaves out the brotherly & just says love! It also takes Psalm 8:4 a prophetic passage about Christ, & changes it from 1984 NIV Psalm 8:4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? when the Bible says Son of Man it replaces Son of Man with this 2011 NIV Psalm 8:4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them. It is made plain that this is a passage about Jesus in Hebrews 2:5-10 It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. But there is a place where someone has testified: "What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor and put everything under his feet." In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. THIS IS CLEARLY A PASSAGE ABOUT CHRIST & THEY MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR PEOPLE TO REALIZE IT IS A PROPHETIC PASSAGE! I am very disappointed with the liberties taken in this Bible & wish people would just translate the Bible as it is!
