We were given a Bible when we got married and I thought it was such a wonderful gift to begin our life together...I have probably given 25-30 of these Bibles away over the years for wedding gifts, with the couples "new " name imprinted on the front cover!!

Beautiful as a wedding gift. Very presentable and reasonably priced.

The NIV Family Keepsake Bible left me underwhelmed. I purchased it as a Christmas present for my recently married nephew and his new family. Unfortunately, I didn't open the shipping box until Christmas Eve, and was extremely disappointed at what I found. The bible had a "cheesy" feel and appearance, the binding was slightly damaged, and the pages looked as if they had been copied on a copying machine. I could not in good conscience give this as a gift -- and I didn't. The NIV Family Keepsake Bible had an attractive price, but regrettably was just another example to support the idiom, "You get what you pay for."

This Bible did not meet my expectations. First of all, the quality was not good. I ordered 3 as gifts. The pages were stuck together. one had to be returned because the record pages were obviously damaged in production. It was replaced but I was still not happy with the quality. the glossy record pages were rippled (similar to water damage.) The "16 pages of full-color classic art reproductions" were a huge disappointment to me. When my children were small I used the pictures in our Bible to teach them. That's what I was looking for in these Bibles. I expected 16 individual prints on 16 pages. Instead, the artwork was several smaller prints on a page. I purchased the less expensive KJV Bible for myself and it was better quality, although again the artwork disappointed.
