Daily I am excited to begin my devotional time as I anticipate reading this extraordinary chronological Bible! I have the large print edition in NIV. It is so refreshingly easy to understand. I have been studying God's Word my whole life-long - and that's pretty long. - smile - However, every day I learn so much that is new, and I enjoy the notes immeasureably! Every time I get a new Bible, I think that each one will be my favorite. (Well, Lord, if this Bible will not long be my favorite, it will surely be close to it!) I think I have never read another Bible that made the precious Truths of God's Word so vibrant and so clear!

Our whole church is doing this daily Bible reading project for the coming year. In fact, I have begun a blog to trace the process and highlight what we are learning. This book includes the entire Scripture content, but arranged in historical order. Biblical citations (addresses) are listed in the margins for each daily reading. Most daily entries are 4-6 pages. This is a super way to build a daily discipline of Scripture study, while gaining a chronological perspective on Biblical history.

This is an incredible resource. The commentary before each passage is intriguing and helpful. The historical information that was noted and the chronological format gave me a much better understanding of the Bible as a whole.

Reading this fine Bible for the past 20 years has answered many questions. It is a constant challenge and joy. I continue to buy this bible for my believing as well as my unbeliving loved ones.
