This is a useful tool for helping couples communicate with each other. It's short enough that it holds my husbands attention, and the questions at the bottom really open up some good discussions. My husband was not very excited at first, but now looks forward to our devotional time each evening.
I usually love Dobson's materials. This was recommended to us by a friend. We gotten about 10 days into this and have 2 suggestions. Use the book closer to dinnertime rather than bedtime because the discussions can reveal your differences and if you are tired and have limited time the discussion can reveal more tensions rather than increase intimacy. I am not a fan of pre-written prayers, so the 2-line prayer suggestion at the end of the devotional is not useful. Maybe we will get farther into the book and appreciate it more, but I think the idea of a deep discussion right before bedtime is not going to help with intimacy.
This devotional book is awesome. God definitely brought me and my husband closer together while doing these daily devotions. Its not to long nor not too short. We both looked forward to our alone time every night!
Someone gave us this book for a wedding present and I do not recommend it to any couples who believe men and women are equal. This book actually states that husbands should have the upper hand in a marriage, while respecting their wives "opinion".
