I first came upon Nichole's music at the local library. I checked out BRAVE and immediately fell in love with her style. The lyrics are geared more toward someone searching and on a journey, as opposed to a mature christian. The concerns and doubts that she articulates in her lyrics appear very personal and real- which convey sort of a "I've been there" feel to them. On both discs she is supported by some fantastic musicians and the arrangements are a pleasure to listen to. Honestly, I'd like to see her do a secular album as well so she can show the world the talent she's been blessed with. I would liken her perhaps to a 21st century Amy Grant. Both discs are great and uplifting listening that also provoke some careful consideration of the lyrics.
