LibbyAge: 18-24Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5Very ElementaryJuly 25, 2012LibbyAge: 18-24Gender: femaleThis book was much more juvenile (8-10 yr. olds) than I was expecting. It skimmed the surface on some topics and it seemed as though the inner beauty sections, were just thrown in to make it marketable as 'Christian'. I understand that it is meant to be gone through for groups, and in that environment, more time might be spent on the topics. But I have found many other resources that cover the same ground, yet have the Gospel interwoven seamlessly, and are still suitable for younger girls and group settings.
Marsha Barker5 Stars Out Of 5September 18, 2009Marsha BarkerAs a rating star was needed to proceed, I just clicked over the first one. Today was our first class with the curriculum. One of our girls has taken the course previously and has an old copy of the student edition. Well, we want to have the pictures back that show a multitude of faces with appropriate hairstyles, plus, clothing to fit the different body types. From our overview of the books, we are all excited to really study all aspects of this book! We are even going to have a sleepover so we can give facials, pedi/manicures and experiment with make-up...what fun! My girls are 8-11th graders. Thanks for the book!
