Mary Ellis has done it again. In Never Far From Home you feel Emma's struggles and confusion with teenage love and her parent's and religious limits. Reading a book by Mary Ellis is like watching a movie in your mind. Mary brings her characters to life with creativity and imagination. Mary Ellis is a must read author!

"Never Far from Home" is an excellent followup to #1 A Widow's Hope in the Miller Family series. I couldn't put the book down, yet at the same time not wanting it to end. The storyline with interesting twists, surprises makes for an excellent read. I highly recommend this book. Author Mary Ellis is right up there with the best in this genre.

I couldn't put this book down, at the same time I didn't want it to end. A great follow-up to "A Widow's Hope". She is a wonderful author and I can't wait for the third book in this very interesting series to be released.

I have not finished the book however I am sure that it will be just as good as the first one about the lady who moved her sheep. I am at a point in the book where I feel she is being taken advantage of as far as her sheep as concerned and she is standing up to her husband which I had not seen so far in any of the Amish Fiction I have read. I am anxious to see how it is going to end and what Emma will do about James Davis.
