I owned this Dictionary once before, and it is a great study companion. The one I actually received had some torn pages in the middle of the book.

The Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Dictionary makes an excellent addition to one's reference library. I've had the Holman Bible Dictionary for many years but was drawn to this one when I checked it out on line. I was not the least bit disappointed upon arrival. The information presented is well-written, well-focused and easy to understand. The method used to demonstrate the correct pronunciation of the words is appreciated also since I am a fifth grade Sunday School teacher. I definitely recommend this dictionary.

This is a good dictionary, but I wasn't too happy with the quality of paper used.
If one is going to invest in an Illustrated Dictionary, I would not purchase this book.
The content is good, as you would expect from Nelson, but the quality of the paper leaves a lot to be desired.
If you want a very high quality. Illustrated Dictionary, then I would get the Holman Illustrated Dictionary. The paper quality is far superior and beautifully done.

Every pastor, and every person who loves to study the Bible should have a Bible Dictionary. This is the best I've used in 30 years of ministry.

This book is an excellent resource for Bible Study. It will definitely complement your Christian Library. It really takes you back to Bible times and explains how things were done. It gives attention to detail and is VERY informative. The pictures and maps are wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone who has the desire to REALLY study the Bible in depth.

An EXCELLENT reference to add to your library. It is very good on the eyes with good detail information and a nice cross-reference system within the topics and one aspect I found appreciative was the way the pronunciation of the words are set up. I highly recommend this dictionary.
