Tell us a little about yourself. I am a Christian who makes a sincere effort to think and write from a biblical perspective. I hold to a view of Scripture that is consistent with the historic Reformed faith. In other words, I am a conservative Christian who has a high view of the authority and power of the Word of God.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wanted to write a story that would help young children to understand what it means to love one's neighbor. The story that the Prophet Nathan told to King David long ago, is the basic storyline that I use to help teach children about how the sin of coveting can undermine their ability to love others.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope youngsters, and those adults who share the story with them, will both gain a better understanding of the wisdom and justice of God's Law, so that they can love their neighbor to the glory of God.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I was touched, once again, by the simple but powerful message of Nathan the prophet regarding how harmful our sins can be when we determine to live in a selfish and prideful manner.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? The Spirit of God, working through the Word of God, is my Guide and Pilot. Only by His grace do I stand!
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I have been married for 25 years, and have seven children and a lovely wife. We have been homeschooling our children for over 20 years. I have had the opportunity to edit or author several textbooks for Christian Liberty Press over the years.
