Author Bio

Charles C. Ryrie received his Master of Theology and doctor of Theology degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary, and his PhD from the University of Edinburgh. He was also awarded a Doctor of Letters degree by Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Ryrie served as the president of the Philadelphia College of Bible (now Philadelphia Biblical University), and as the chair of the department of systematic theology and dean of doctoral studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He has published books on various topics such as theology, the Christian life, and dispensationalism.

Bible's ok, not real pleased with some of the notes explaining scriptures, but it is a good Bible over all.

Simply the best study bible I have used. The NASB is the best formal equivalence. I prefer the NLT for functional equivalence and for daily reading. But this is the best combo if you want a great study bible, along with a VERY literal translation. Very good study bible

I really like the NASB translation. It is accurate, readable and highly reliable. Dr. Ryrie's notes add to the clarity and reliability of the Bible.

Each year my wife and I choose a new translation for our Bible reading program. This year, my wife wanted a new translation for her part. Every other year, we use a 'study' Bible so beside having the scripture in a new translation, we have new study notes. This gives us a new, and relevant outlook of the scriptures, as we continue to lead our Sunday School Classes, Bible Studies, and as I prepare for messages on Sunday.
