This is the most readable NASB available other than the Schuyler Quentel which is $220.

This is the most readable NASB available other than the Schuyler Quentel which is $220 and is very large. This Hand sized Bible is very good value and very readable font size. Take it from me. I have 56 year old eyes that are not what they used to be. The paper is thin but the type is so nice and bold and a readable type font that ghosting is not a problem. I would make a suggestion to Zondervan that they make just a reader version that eliminates the center column references. This would allow the type to come away from the gutter and allow even more space for increased font size and leading. Or they could just make a thinner edition. I use a study Bible for my cross references and I don't need it in a hand sized Bible that I can sit in my easy chair and actually hold. I own a Schuyler Quentel which has a 11 point font and the thickest paper there is but they don't call it the BRICK for nothing. It is large and heavy and really can only be read at a desk or table. Too big to hold comfortably. The price on it is very prohibitive for most people. Another suggestion on the Zondervan NAS Giant Print Reference Bible is something other than bonded leather. I would prefer a LeatherTouch or even better genuine leather cover. Bonded leather is way to stiff. This is a great Bible for rebinding. I am having two rebound in goatskin as I write this. So in conclusion great, readable, portable that is good value. Buy it if you like the NASB.

I love the NASB translation. Of all the modern english translations it is probably the closest possible to the original meanings of the Hebrew and Greek. This Bible is a wonderful Handy size. They type is nice and large and bold. Helpful center column references abound. The imitation leather cover was nicer than expected and the gold stained page edges are attractive and will probably wear better than gold gilding. All around great value at a wonderful ChristianBook.com price as usual. Also, a surprise! It is a sewn binding. Great for durability and will lay flat on the table when reading. Great Bible Zondervan.

This was exactly what the description implied. It's a well made, easy to read, New American Standard Bible that fit my bible cover. Good price too.

I've had this bible for two years (March 10, 2012) and still like it. I have other Expensive bibles but the print is too light. This one is the wright size and Font, 9 1/2 and BOLD print.
