This is a Very Nice bible. The one that I had just got old. I had it since 1992, and it was getting ragged. Thank You for such a great bible and a great price. I will be back soon to get another one for my mother in law.

I bought my first New American Standard (NAS) Bible back in the seventies, and in 1998 I bought my first NAS Ryrie Study Bible. I wouldn't have anything else. The NAS was translated word for word from the original Hebrew and Greek, making it one of the most trustworthy translations. And, Dr. Ryrie is trustworthy too. He was the professor of systematic theology at Dallas Theological Seminary, as well as their dean of doctoral studies. Trusted Bible teachers such as David Jeremiah and Chuck Swindoll hailed from this great seminary. If you are looking for a good Bible translation you can trust, with a reliable study guide I highly recommend this one.

About the Binding & Cover This edition is made from Premium Bonded Leather, with a Smythe sewn binding. What’s inside? The text of this edition is 9.5 pt, which is clear and easy to read. The layout of this Bible is double column format, Red letter edition, with paragraph/subject headings. Features of this edition include: 10,000 Concise Explanatory Notes, in text graphics including maps, charts, timelines and diagrams, Comprehensive book outlines in easy to read format, Expanded topical index, Wide margins for better note taking, Extensive cross references, Detailed introduction to each book, Introduction to the Old and New Testaments and Gospels, Comprehensive concordance, 16 full-color maps, 8-page historical time-line, Daily bible reading plan. This Bible is printed on high quality, the paper itself is thin, and has a semi-transparent quality. The margins are 1/2" along the border of the page, there is also limited room on the inside edges for writing. My Personal Opinion The cover of this edition feels almost like genuine leather, which is very uncommon for bonded leather editions. I am impressed with the quality of this cover, its nice to see bonded leather of such quality. The study notes and other features of the Ryrie Study Bible are interesting, and useful. Its impressive the amount of information contained in this one volume. This is one of the most indepth study Bibles, I have had the opportunity to review.

I began taking Theology/Biblical courses a few months ago and found the need to purchase a good study Bible.The Ryrie Study Bible filled that need and so much more.The NAS translation is easy to understand while the explanatory notes, maps, diagrams and charts are great for the serious Bible Student. This Bible is packed with a good amount of very interesting information. I consider it to be a perfect Study Bible for anyone who is into a more academic, historical and theological approach to Bible reading, although it might not be the right choice for those who are looking for more of a devotional/life application oriented Bible.

This Bible is WONDERFUL! I had researched Bibles over a period of six months before I settled on this one. When I finally received it I showed it to my pastor and he told me it is considered the premier choice of all the study Bibles available today. He also told me that our church had decided to give all our graduates that Bible this year upon graduation from high school and college. What a wonderful gift. I have just begun to discover all the treasures it has to offer. Thank you so much for offering it at such an affordable price. The binding and pages are exquisite and it was received in beautiful condition. I was not able to view the DVD-ROM because it did not work on my computer. But I do plan to try it on a friend's computer to see what it has to offer. Thank you again, so very much.
