Product Description

MyWorld History will take middle-school students stage-by-stage through the great events, civilizations, and people of this world. Covering the origins of humanity, Ancient Near East, Ancient India & China, Greece, Rome, Islamic Civilization, African and Asian civilization, the Americas, Europe in the Middle Ages, the rise of Europe, the Early Modern and Modern World, students will discover the grand scope of history.

This MyWorld History Student Journal is perfect for additional students using the same curriculum, as it cannot be used apart from the sold-separately textbook. This journal is organized by chapter and section to easily correlate activities and worksheets between elements. Worksheets, writing exercises, graphic organizers, chapter support, and a two-page writing exercises are included. The "Essential Question" preview asks students to find ways to relate the issues and principles of the question to their own lives, while the "connect to the chapter" page invites students to chart predictions on how the essential question relates to the countries in the chapter. "Word Wise" exercises emphasize vocabulary through games, word maps, and crossword puzzles. "Take Notes" graphic organizers will help students synthesize concepts and create a visual study guide. The "Essential Question Writers Workshop" provides an end-of-chapter opportunity to show understanding of the chapter, and "sum it up" activities provide map exercises and timeline activities. 400 pages, softcover. Grades 7 - 8.

Homeschoolers please note: This curriculum references print and/or digital components (including activities and lesson plans) that are notincluded in this modified homeschool bundle. These components will not hinder completion of the course, and Pearson currently does not offer a homeschool kit that includes these components due to licensing issues.
