This is a story of dreaming big and working hard, of spectacular success and breathtaking failure, of shouted questions, and, at long last, whispered answers. With trademark wit and heart, Phil Vischer shares how God can use the death of a dream to point us toward true success.
Larry. Bob. Archibald. These VeggieTales stars are the most famous vegetables you'll ever eat. Oops, meet. Their antics are known around the world. But so much of the VeggieTales story hasn't been told. In Me, Myself, and Bob, Phil Vischer, founder of Big Idea and creator of VeggieTales, gives a behind-the-scenes look at his not-so-funny journey with the loveable veggies. From famed creator to bankrupt dreamer, Vischer shares his story of trial and ultimate triumph as God inspired him with one big idea after another.
Phil Vischer is the CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Big Idea Productions. As co-creator of the popular series, VeggieTales™, he has also served as writer, director and voice for more than a dozen characters, including Bob the Tomato. Since the release of the first VeggieTales™ episode in 1993, more than 30 million units have been sold in the series. Vischer and his wife, Lisa, live in the Chicago, IL with their 3 children.

The young man (college student) that I purchased it for quickly read the book from cover to cover. The book had a profound impact on him, and I can't wait to read it next. Phil's story was so inspirational and encouraging that the young man emailed Phil to tell him how it encouraged him, and Phil even wrote back!
Jill Munoz5 Stars Out Of 5November 18, 2009Jill MunozThis book gives all of us who want to make entertainment for the Lord come to grips with God's plans which are superior to our plans. "A man's mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." Proverbs
Lynn5 Stars Out Of 5April 10, 2008LynnI loved this book--an honest account of one man's dream to partner with God in creating something that would bring good to the world. Vischer makes profound points about "beware of your dreams," because, ultimately, "The God who created the universe is enough for us." Highly recommended, as both a memoir and a business book.
Rachel McLamb4 Stars Out Of 5January 21, 2008Rachel McLambSince expanding our family 8 years ago, we have found great comfort in the Big Idea productions of biblical truths and morals so lacking in modern entertainment. I read Phil's book in 2 sittings and was refreshed to find a candid and honest look at our human frailites...not finger pointing. I was also relieved to see that Big Idea did not fail due to scandal or immoral choices.
