I do NOT think a toddler book should contain a story which states: Joseph's mother died. Little children DO NOT need to hear this. There first introduction to a toddler bible should be nothing but pleasant stories.

This is not the same as a kid finding a dead bug and asking what happened to it. Imagine how many parents have read this and then have to explain to a 3-4 year old their mama died and their brothers hate him/her. Children need security, not information that a little boy's mama died. I skipped right over this part and changed to story to his mama and daddy loved him. Nor should the story contained the information his brother hated him. Good grief. This is NOT what you teach children of this age, that their sibling(s) can hate them. You could have eliminated that information or changed the story. Very, very disappointed in this particular biblical story. If I could I would tear this out of the book. Otherwise the majority of stories were appropriate. Colors are beautiful.

However, I will be searching for a book that does not contain inappropriate information/ideas/thoughts for a toddler.

Please review before you accept books of this type.

This book has beautiful illustrations and the stories are well written and simple for toddlers. The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars is that the stories have no break or titles showing that a new story has begun. Beautifully done though.
