A return to the Amish Village with yet another murder for manager, Amber, to investigate. There are a bevy of possible suspects to be interviewed and considered. Mystery, danger, romance, faith and grace are all here in abundance. I enjoy visiting with this cast of characters and look forward to the next installment in this series.

Do you like puzzles? Then you found the right book. Curl up in your favorite reading place, with your cuppa tea, coffee, etc. This is a cozy mystery by Vannetta Chapman. Another great book to read. She weaves a tightly knit (pun intended)story with clues (puzzle pieces) dropped in unexpectedly. However, are they real clues or false ones to throw you off the trail. Although, this is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone.

In the Prologue there is a murder, then someone is missing. The characters are both Amish and English. They are friends, co-workers and boss & employees all together. There is romance, scripture is dropped in at appropriate points in the story as they remember what they had learned from family, friends and the church.

There is humor, compassion, loyalties that have been tested and were true. Then the FBI is called in and puts everyone on edge. What is it about this FBI agent that raises everyone's "hackles"?

Amber, Hannah and their friends have to work quickly to find the killer and bring back the peace in their community. Follow along for the thrill of putting this puzzle together to solve the mystery.

I received this book from Vannetta Chapman and the publisher to read and review. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone that likes suspense, mystery, Amish and just a cozy feeling while you read this. Gave it 5 stars and I enjoyed every page. Hope you find this as good as I did.

Middlebury, Indiana. A peaceful little town with great food, crafts and Amish culture until an Amish man is murdered on the Pumpkinvine Trail. Struckthrough the heart by acrossbow at close range, this murder turnsMiddleburgs peace into a place of violence, intrigue andsuspicion. Even the Amish (known for non-violence) and English (the rest of us that arent Amish) are all under suspicion.

I love Amish fiction and the mystery mixed in makes it even more appealing. I have visitedMiddlebury and can just picture the area in my mind. Vannettas books always keep my attention and often keep me from sleep because I just cant put them down. This book was no exception. Great read!

    My Review

My two favorite genres of books rolled into one. When you have a Amish story mixed with elements of murder and mystery you have my attention. This book will not disappoint.

This Middlebury Amish Artisan Village is alarmed when a local Amish man, Owen Esch is murdered while walking home after deer hunting. However, a very unlikely team, Amber Wright who is English and Hannah's employer and Hannah Troyer who is Amish, feel that they need to help the police find the true killer. This story takes many twist and turns keeping you absorbed until the end.

I love Vannetta's writing. She has a ease about creating characters that are real . This is the second book in her "The Amish Village Mystery" but could definitely be read as a stand alone novel. From the moment I picked up this book I was engrossed in the story.

I am looking forward to the third book, "Murder Freshly Baked" to come out. I highly recommend this series for anyone that wants a enjoyable read that will keep you guessing.

I received a copy of this book from Vannetta Chapman's Street Team in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed reading about the small town of Middlebury and its residents. You have a community with shops located close to each other and everyone knows each other. You have Amish and English working together not only in the stores but also for the betterment of the community. Then all of a sudden you have a young Amish man murdered, struck down with a bow and arrow, straight through the heart. Assailant unknown and thus the mystery begins of finding the killer before he can strike again.

I was really drawn into this story, so much that I started hearing things outside my own house a few times while engrossed in the book. My idea of who the killer might be changed several times and I was surprised toward the end, of who was revealed and why he felt the need to kill. Short chapters were interspersed throughout, told in the person of the killer without revealing his identity. This really added to the mystery and the sinister thoughts of a murderer. Not happy with the way the police are investigating the crime, Hannah, who works in the coffee shop and is Amish gets with Amber, the manager of all the area stores and is English, to try and solve the murder themselves. Although they are not totally well received by the local police and a Federal Investigator that is called in, they prove to be valuable to the solving of "who dun it".

This was a very interesting mystery that truly kept me guessing until almost the end. I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys reading a sit on the edge of your seat, gripping storyline.

I was given this book by the publisher and author for my honest review, which I have given.
