And if those lines from the back of the book don't make you want to read Murder Tightly Knit, then you'll never know just how much you're missing out. You'll miss a great mystery entwined with romance. You'll miss reading on and on, because you can't put the book down even though you told yourself, "Just one more chapter." The reason will be that the story has you sitting on the edge of your seat anticipating the next part, and you just can't put it down. ("Grasped in both of his hands and pointed directly at them was his crossbow.") You'll miss learning a little about the Amish and survivalists. And, you'll miss out on some laughs, too. (Is Tate really jealous of the cat?) You'll miss reading a story of love and friendship. You'll also miss out on biting you nails and holding your breath on some suspenseful events. Yah, if you don't read Murder Tightly Knit, you'll be missing out on all of that and so much more. Murder Tightly Knit definitely deserves a spot on your "To Read" list, because you surely won't want to miss out on anything.

The body of Owen Esch is found brutally murdered along local Pumpkinhead trail. Hannah Troyer, who runs the coffee shop in the village cant help but wonder who would want him dead. Things take a turn for the worse when Mary, the woman who runs the Village yarn shop turns up missing and Jessie Millers brother Andrew has suddenly reappeared after years of living in the English world, his behavior is secretive and suspicious. Hannah and Amber Bowman, the manager of The Amish Artisan Village return to their sleuthing talents to help the local sheriff solve the mystery.
I really liked Jesse and the way that he handled his feeling toward his brother. Although he runs the gambit of emotions from confusion to anger to bitterness and finally forgiveness, he always turns to God for help.
Jesse and Hannahs relationship is taken to the next level. I really enjoyed reading about them as they worked together as a couple. They were really adorable.
Amber and Hannah were great together as a team. Each brought a different perspective to the table to help put all the pieces together. And I was so happy that the author brought Preston back from the first book.
I thought the book was wonderfully written with believable characters. It was a delightful read, I couldnt put it down.

Review: Fantastic sequel!! Love this series! Hannah, Jesse, Tate and Amber are great! Love the addition of Andrew and Mary. The mystery started out slow but picked up speed after a couple of chapters. The addition of Pam was fantastic. She is a great addition and sidekick for the English side of looking into things. It was so nice to see Preston becoming a steady trustworthy friend to everyone. While the mystery was startling it was not too difficult who it was that killed Owen. How it played out was the greatest suspense. That is what made the story exciting that waiting for the other shoe to drop. Can not wait to start the next book!
I would like to thank Net Galley and Zondervan for allowing me to read and review this book in return for a free copy and I was never asked to write a favorable review by anyone.

After last springs murder on the property, she hopes the fall and winter months will be quieter. That quickly changes when there is a murder close by and one of her employees begins acting frightened. Then, that employee vanishes. Amber views herself and her employees as a family, so she is very concerned over the missing employee. She begins asking questions about the murder victim and his relationship to the missing person. The more she digs, the more questions she has. Amber and Hannah have formed a friendship, so they meet to discuss the murder and those potentially involved. Jesses older brother, Andrew, returns to the community suddenly on the very day of the murder after being away for over a year. Andrew is elusive as to where he has been, why he is back and how long he is going to stay. Is Jesses brother involved in the murder?
I found this a charming and delightful mystery because of the setting and Amish characters as well as the romances involved. I really am enjoying Ambers newfound love and marriage with Tate as it happened later in life for her. Jesse and Hannahs relationship is so sweet! These are characters that readers can just warm right up to. The faith that is exemplified is encouraging to read about. Even though the evil in life intrudes in to the lives of these people with the murder of one of their own, they band together in resolving to find the guilty person and bring them to justice. I look forward to the third book in the series, Murder Freshly Baked, due to be released in June 2015.
