This was the most exciting book I have read for a long time and really brought home to me how important it is to spend time with God sometimes for many months or years before we see any results. We have to prepare the ground with our prayers, and not only our prayers but the prayers of others. James Fraser gives testimony all through the book that without the prayer support he had from his prayer group in England, He could not have achieved anything. In order to keep them informed of was happening in his life on the other side of the world, he wrote detailed letters and one member of his group said she felt she came to know the folk he was talking about which made it easier to pray specifically. We see in this book the spiritual and physical struggles James went through and how he persevered in seeking God's will and way forward regardless of the physical cost, and mostly on his own. Everyone involved in either mission work or in praying for those on the field should read this very readable book, a large portion of which comes straight from James' personal journals.

Thanks for getting this book to me so promptly! The book was awesome and wonderful to follow the process of one who has a burden for the lost and willing to leave everything behind.
