Without Jesus, the Bible makes no sense. And without his atoning death on the cross, the Bible makes no difference. In "The View from Mount Calvary, " renowned Bible commentator John Phillips surveys the entire Bible and shows how its many sections, books, and subjects all revolve around the death of Jesus on Mt. Calvary. Recommended reading especially during the Easter season, The View from Mount Calvary will deepen readers' appreciation of the finished work of Christ.
pat a5 Stars Out Of 5February 23, 2008pat aAbsolutely one of the best books I've ever read and i own a LOT! Especially good for this time of the year focusing on the cross. All good devotionals should have deep truths that are easily recalled to chew over again as well they should lead to silence, meditation and or worship, this book does it time and again and I'm only half way through! AWESOME i would just add to the previous review that although the book would be good for young believers this should in no way mislead from the fact it is highly beneficial and deep in thinking even for the most mature of believers.
