This pamphlet gives the basic tenets of the LDS in a manner that is easy to understand. It demonstrates how to ask questions that will plant seeds of doubt in the Mormon. It has plenty of Scriptural documentation to refute LDS claims. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has a desire to know about Mormonism.
For those of you who do not know Ed Decker, He is an ex-Mormon who spent almost 20 years in the Mormon Church, a member of the Melchizedek Priesthood, a Temple Mormon and active in many areas of church callings. His forte and ministry is to the Mormons, and I know of know one who has a better knowledge of the teachings and beliefs of the Mormon Church. His information provided are direct quotes from reliable source material, and he has an excellent understanding of what the Bible has to say in regards to those teachings. He is setting forth a challenge that first came from Brigham Young; "Take up the Bible, compare the religion of the Latter-Day Saints with it and see if it will stand the test" (Journal of Discourses, V16, 1873). Nicely done Mr. Decker!
Very interesting I have LDS family members and this really helped me to understand what they believe. I have sone a lot of study for the last ten years and this is the most concise easy to understand information I have found
Decker's book helps perpetuate misconceptions and falsehoods about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is a prime reason for the bigotry against Mormons in America. Depending on this book for an assessment of Mormonism is like believing first and second century pagan Roman attacks on Christians to learn about the religion of Jesus.
