An EXCELLENT resource on Mormonism! The authors give a detailed history and doctrinal presentation of the LDS. Practical witnessing tips are also included. Highly recommended!

This is a great book if you want to know the differences between the Mormon faith and Christian religion. I would highly recommend this book in conjunction with Dr. Ron Rhodes book Reasoning from the Scriptures with Mormons. Mormomisn 101 will give you a lot of facts about what they believe and how they are different, and Dr. Ron Rhodes book will help you deal with the verses they use from the Bible to try to prove their doctrine.

I must admit that Mormonism is very complex and therefore is hard to contain the entire false teachings of the LDS Church in one volume. I must commend the authors for seeking to do so and helping Christians understand Mormonism in a limited degree.I have always been one to say that if you are going to study cults is best to focus on one particular area of doctrine and study that. For example, I am currently studying the Book of Mormon as it compares to archeology. You might try that with any given topic such as the false prophecies of Joseph Smith or the mistranslation of the New World Translation in the JW's.This book will give you a brief overview of many doctrines of the LDS Church but does not go into great detail on any of the doctrines nor gives a long Christian reply to the Mormons. But, having said that, this is a good book to read if you just want to have some information on what the LDS Church teaches.
