Life was pretty good for Joan Brock: She had a wonderful family and a rewarding job as a teacher for blind children. But her life took an unexpected turn when, within three weeks' time, Brock inexplicably went blind. Soon afterward, her husband died of cancer. In a message laced with hope and humor, Brock forms an acronym out of the word "courage" to describe how she has triumphantly faced the trials of her life. She discusses her struggles with anger, her eventual acceptance of her circumstances and the encouragement she has received through the support of her friends, family and her faith in God.
