it was a horrible abrupt ending. I was so upset. and shocked that it would end that way. I also, don't like the constant mention of alcohol use, and drinking, but I realize that the main characters weren't Christians even thought they went to a so-called "church". so no wonder they drank! nevertheless, I was glad that jace got rid of all his alcohol, and they started to seek the Lord. Christians don't drink!
I had 2 main areas of disappointment with this book. The first was the number of characters-most of whom were introduced in a short period of time. I had difficulty keeping up with which one was which.
The second area was the ending. It's unfair to the reader to leave a story hanging. Often, other books in a series cost more, and the reader might not be able to afford them in order to find out what happened. Then, I imagine that the 2nd book will leave you hanging for the 3rd.
