Author Bio

Carla Gade has been imagining stories for most of her life. Her love for writing and eras gone by turned her attention to writing historical Christian romance. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Maine Fellowship of Christian Writers. An autodidact, creative thinker, and avid reader, Carla also enjoys genealogy, web design, and photography. A native New Englander, she writes from her home in beautiful rural Maine where she resides with her “hero” husband and two young adult sons. You may visit her online at carlagade.com.

Lisa Karon Richardson is an award-winning author and a member of American Christian Fiction Writers. Influenced by books like The Little Princess, Lisa’s early books were heavy on creepy boarding schools. Though she’s mostly all grown-up now, she still loves a healthy dash of adventure in any story she creates, even her real-life story. She’s been a missionary to the Seychelles and Gabon and now that she and her husband are back in America, they are tackling new adventures—starting a daughter-work church and raising two precocious kids.

RWA-FHL Chapter President Gina Welborn worked in news radio scripting copy until she took up writing romances. Mercy Mild is her third Barbour novella. A moderately obsessive fan of Community and Once Upon a Time, Gina lives in Oklahoma with her pastor husband, their five Okie-Hokie children, a rabbit named Hobbit, and two Lab mixes that don’t retrieve much of anything.

Editorial Reviews

Set around the holidays they each will give you a bit of holiday cheer. I gave this book 5/5 stars. I thought the stories were all well written and made me want to read more by the authors who wrote them. I liked the time periods of each story and the descriptions were excellent without filling the pages with too much detail. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy the simple Lifetime and Hallmark movies around the holidays. I would definitely buy this book as a present for a friend, knowing that they will enjoy it!
