Realistic Young Adult Romance Marry a talented Christian author and the popular genre of young adult fiction and you have a winning partnership. K. Teens will relate to Eden and Lexi, two girls who fall for the same guy, but arenÃ¢ÂÂt aware of the otherÃ¢ÂÂs feelings. Pertinent issues like GPAÃ¢ÂÂs, driving tests, broken families, under-age drinking and sibling rivalry will capture the audience of young readers who live close to home with these real-life problems. Best YA romance I've read in a long time!!! Wow! I loved this story because it brought me back to my high school years and all of the dating drama that went with it. Sometimes I really miss those days. Not! Seriously, this story appealed to me so much that I read it straight through. I couldn't put it down, and because of that it'a making my favorites list for 2011. Mistaken Identity has the heart-warming feel of an inspirational novel, but with a heap of delicious YA drama from real life situations stacked on top. The romantic elements in the story were a real draw for me. I totally loved the tension between the characters. I was falling in love with the hero right along with her. That's great writing. I really liked Eden and wanted to see her happy because her heart was so good. She wasn't fake at all, but a genuine person, which is why I think Channing was so intrigued by her. She was a good Christian girl and so typical of the teen girls I know from my church and other places. I loved her family, too. And that two-faced friend of hers, Lexi, was just like my "best" friend that I had in high school. She was always seeing my boyfriends behind my back, too. Grrr... And lying about it to my face. But that's an aside. Seriously, this novel was swoon-worthy, top-notch fiction. In fact, it's the best YA Inspirational Romance I've read in the past few years, hands down...and I've read a good number of them. If you read the story you'll see what I mean. Your heart will flutter from the tender romance and you'll enjoy every minute. I was so lost in this novel that I felt like I was living the character's life. I forgot about everything else going on around me. What a great escape for the weekend! Now I want to go find a romantic chick flick to watch to keep the yummy mood going. Sigh. Great read. Very inspiring. Perfect beach novel. Great message for teens. All-around fantastic book. Can you tell I loved it? July 2, 2011

Tell us a little about yourself. I write Christian romance and romantic suspense. Mistaken Identity is my third book, but my first young adult. I'm an avid reader, but writing is my passion. It's such a joy to put words on the page!

What was your motivation behind this project? I really admire Christian teenagers. Life can be so hard when one takes a stand for God. I wrote this book for those who might sometimes wonder if it's worth it all.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope readers will be encouraged that even though life is hard, living for God is worth it all.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I had so much fun writing this young adult novel that I've signed a contract for a young adult mystery series. My main character, Zoe Mack, will be a lot like Nancy Drew, but more modern and there will be more romance in her books. The first one comes out in January.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I must have read every Nancy Drew book in print while growing up. I read a lot of Christian fiction and am afraid to list all my favorite authors for fear I'll leave someone out.
