Miquon is not written in the everyday math workbook style that most of us are used to. It is written by a women for her class and the books are written to be used with different manipulatives. Cuisenaire Rods being the main manipulative. The Lab Annotations are a must in order to understand what concepts are being taught in the particular set of pages and in order to figure out how to best use your manipulatives. I have taught school with this curriculum and I have home schooled with it. I think there is almost no curriculum available that teaches the core math concepts as thoroughly as miquon.

Miquon materials are wonderful. We've used them for all our children. The previous reviewer must not have known there's a Lab Sheet Annotations book that you need -- that's where the page instructions are. This one book (Annotations) covers all the Miquon books. Very good approach to math.

I thought that this math would be in a simple format, easy to use. Boy was I wrong. On each page is a bunch of problems with no instructions and no examples.I am completely disappointed and will never buy any thing from Key Curriculum again.
