This book is more than just a guideline for using Miquon with first graders (though it is great for that, too, since it shows just _how_ it was designed to be used.) The book also contains lots of games and exercises for teaching math 1st-3rd. My children have really enjoyed a lot of the activities I found in this book. (Family favorites include the number line adding/subtracting game, which solidified their understanding of negative numbers and how to add and subtract them, as well as helping with adding and subtracting positive numbers.)This book does require you to set your own schedule, choosing which games to play when, how many to play per day/week/month, etc. However, I am very glad I have it. (I recently ordered a new copy to use with my 1st and 3rd graders, since the copy I used with my now 10th & 11th graders is worn out.)
